Domain Registration

I also recommend that your website domain registrar not be your web host company. Rather you get your domain registration from a separate domain registration company like godaddy. It is not uncommon to change web hosts as your needs change or because of support issues and it is more complicated and time consuming to switch web hosts if you have your domain registration with them also. Some web hosts are not very helpful when you want to leave and may actually be listed as the admin owner of the domain making you powerless to update the domain registration without their help.
