I will also configure your website to use a css template. The template is what people see.  I will work closely with you to customize it to meet your needs.

Photos and artwork are also very important part of any website design. If you do not have images, we can select your images from royalty-free stock photos galleries which contain millions of images. Most of the images are under $2.  Or, I can arrange for a professional photographer to take some pictures for you.  If you need a programmer to write a specialized application, I can refer you to someone.  If you need a logo, I can also arrange for a professional graphics artist to work with you.

Web design is like a big puzzle. I can put the whole puzzle together for you. I can handle all the details for you and provide you a complete solution.  Or if you are on a tight budget, I can create the structure for you and teach you how to easily create content using a website editor. No programming knowledge required!

Website Template

Website templates separate presentation and content. It creates a standard format and design that is automatically propitgated throughout the website creating a consistent look and feel. Website templates operate similarly to a form letter.   CaptureIt Web Design recommends these 2 template clubs:

Open Source Software

Open source software is computer software in the public domain whose source code is available under a general use type license that allows users to use, update and improve the software, and to redistribute it in a modified or unmodified form. It is often developed in a public, collaborative manner and is often free. The majority of web sites hosted on the internet are hosted on Open Source Unix servers. I heard this is because in most cases Unix costs less, has been more secure and has more applications written to it.

Content Management System

Content Management System (CMS) is a powerful application that helps you build and mantain your website. I recommend installing the #1 rated open source CMS solution Joomla!. It is simple for even non-technical users to add or edit content and update images. Using your web browser you simply login to your website and update content by invoking a editor.   Anybody with basic word processing skills can learn to manage a Joomla! site.

You can try the Joomla! demo.  On the demo site, please register for a new userid and then login with it.  Then select one of the paper and pencil icons to invoke the editor and change the content.

Dreamweaver

For a small bussiness starting out, often a big content management systems is not needed.  You are looking for a simple low cost easy to support solution.  You do not need the ability for several people to edit the website and will not be making frequent major changes to content and structure.  You do not need lots of add-on functionality added seemlessly to your website.

If you are this type of customer, I recommend building an Adobe Dreamweaver website for you and then training you to edit your website with the user friendly Adobe Contribute software.
